Undoubtedly, the Korean giants are obsessed with upgrading the Galaxy devices as soon as possible, and they keep on proving it too. The first week of the month is not over yet, and Samsung has already started releasing the January 2024 security patch for a few devices.
Samsung has published detailed information regarding the January 2024 security patch on its security bulletin website. As usual, the new update counts security vulnerabilities and other known bug fixes that were creating a kind of inconvenience to the users while performing a few specific functionalities.
Samsung January 2024 Security Patch Details
The January 2024 patch includes various fixes from Google belonging to different zones; for instance, out of the 75 vulnerabilities spotted in the core Android operating system, one is demanded as critical, 68 are deemed high-risk, and the rest are known as posing a moderate threat.
For Galaxy gadgets, Samsung counted five vulnerabilities, out of which one permits the users to access notifications of other users while multiple user accounts are set up, and noticeably this is only applicable for the bigger screen device since Galaxy smartphones don’t support multi-user features.
The brand has also attacked flaws that will permit attackers to create files using the My File application and pair Bluetooth devices even without user interaction. The catching fact is that this time the brand semiconductor division has not contributed to the latest patch.
Meanwhile, the brand has already rolled out the January 2024 security patch for a few devices, and it is expected that soon it will make the update available to the rest of the eligible Galaxy devices.
