Smartphones such as the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra initially showcased the One UI 6.1 interface, which is based on Android 14. However, earlier devices will soon receive this software.
Samsung specified which ones in detail, so what’s next? Samsung launched One UI 6.1 in the S24 series and will soon roll it out to older devices. All we need to know is the time frame and eligible devices that will receive the upgrade. The Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, Galaxy S23 Ultra, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, and all Galaxy Tab S9 tablets will support One UI 6.1 in the first half of 2024.
Before year’s end, additional Samsung smartphones that have already been introduced will receive One UI 6.1, making them part of the initial wave devices. Samsung seems not to have any big releases in the first half of 2024, so the software upgrade will be the big one. A lot of the fantastic AI, camera, and other capabilities of the Galaxy S24 may not make it into the 2023 flagships. If nothing else, Samsung should at least provide an apology for not providing seven years of upgrades to any smartphones released before the Galaxy S24 series.
One UI 6.1 is slated to incorporate artificial intelligence functionality, but earlier models may not have access to all the AI features present in the Galaxy S24. For the Galaxy A54 and A34 in particular, this is accurate.
AI features go hand in hand with One UI 6.1:
The Samsung Galaxy S24 series has a few unique features that stand out. The first of these consists of several AI-powered on-device functionalities. Real-time translations in conversations and other applications are among them, along with additional capabilities like sophisticated photo editing with support for generative editing. In conclusion, Samsung also unveiled Quick Share, a combined sharing solution that combines Google’s Nearby Share with Samsung’s own sharing functionality.
