Samsung is expanding its major One UI 6.0 update to all eligible Galaxy devices. At the same time, it is gearing up to take its next major step, named One UI 6.1.
It is expected that by the end of 2023, most of the eligible Galaxy devices will get their latest One UI 6.0 update. But it seems that Samsung has a lack of speed breaks because the rollout of One UI 6.0 is not yet fully completed, and before that, it has started testing the One UI 6.1 update for the Galaxy S23 device.
Yes! As you read in that write, Samusng has started working on the next big steps: the One UI 6.1 update, which will debut along with the Galaxy S24 family next month, which means January 2024. It has already been revealed that One UI 6.1 will bring some excellent generative AI features, such as AI-powered wallpapers, live translation voice calls, and many more.
It is being speculated that the brand has started testing a One UI 6.1 update for its flagship Galaxy S23 Ultra device with a firmware number of S918NKSU2ZWX2. This version has been spotted on the official Samsung servers. By decoding the build code, it becomes clear that it is for the Galaxy S23 Ultra, probably based on One UI 6.1.
The other catch is that this time the brand will announce its forthcoming flagship family, the Galaxy S24, in January 2024 instead of February, as its predecessors did. The Galaxy S24 family has three members, including:
- Galaxy S24
- Galaxy S24+
- Galaxy S24 Ultra
However, it is not yet confirmed exactly what new features, improvements, and changes the One UI 6.1 will bring for the Galaxy S23 series and many other eligible Galaxy devices.
