Galaxy S24 Ultra: Full Teardown Shows Big Vapor Cooling Chamber
We are sharing the teardown experience of the Galaxy S24 Ultra from the popular YouTube channel PBK Reviews. Let’s start by first removing the SIM tray from the bottom of the phone. Now apply heat to the back of the phone to loosen the adhesive underneath.
After that, the glass plate comes off, which is not attached with any wires or cables. Here’s the amazing part: we get to see all the parts that are held by 17 screws. Once those are removed, you can now lift off everything, like the charging coil, NFC antenna, and UWB antenna, in one piece. Now you can go with the process and disconnect all cables and lift off the top speaker and earpiece in one single assembly and the bottom speaker and vibration motor in another.
The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra has a huge vapor chamber.
Samsung has glued a graphite film to the processor to promote heat transfer and has also applied a thermal paste to manage its functioning. After taking off the battery, there is a huge vapor chamber that is extended under the main board.
After disassembling the phone, most of the components are easy to remove, except the display, which is glued to the chassis. Therefore, it is difficult to remove, causing damage, but still, the PKKReviews gave a repairability score of 9 out of 10.
