Despite larger screens Car infotainment systems have limited editions of convenient infotainment systems; for instance, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Now that we have overcome this lack, a new project is under way to use Samsung DeX on car displays. Noticeably, the project has already crossed 1000% of its funding goal.
Samsung DeX is a feature included on a few high-end Samsung-handled gadgets that authorizes users to extend their device into a desktop-like experience for their smartphone, while also permitting them to run several applications and programs on a larger screen.
A Kickstarter project named AutoPro X focuses on bringing Samsung DeX UI to the infotainment systems of cars. The user can also connect their Galaxy smartphone to a small circular dongle of AutoPro X through Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, and that dongle requires being connected to the car’s infotainment screen through a USB cable.
Within a few seconds, users will be able to see the complete Samsung DeX UI, complete with a taskbar, desktop, and resizeable application windows. The AutoPro X dongle will only charge $140, but only in the scenario where users back the Kickstarter project. They would be among the first in the world to get access to the forthcoming dongle.
It is expected that this will be delivered nearly by the end of June 2024, plus the engineers have collaborated with Samsung’s engineers just to make the product more reliable. Also, users will get the power to switch to Android Auto using the same dongle while driving, and as per their choice, they can also use navigation or music streaming.
