Samsung is already preparing to introduce its next major upgrade for the One UI skin available for Galaxy smartphones and tablets, which will be One UI 7.0. The company has been successful in engaging its users in the Galaxy ecosystem. Now, to expand the usability of the device, the company is working to introduce a useful feature for the devices.
One UI 7 To Bring App Lock Feature for Galaxy Users
Earlier today, a popular leaker, Tarun Vats, reported in the X post that One UI 7 could bring the app functionality to Galaxy devices. For non-Galaxy users, it may be awkward to know that those Samsung phones don’t have any built-in app locks, but it’s true. If any Galaxy device user wants to use the app lock, then he or she has to download a third-party application to apply it.
Alternatively, the user also has another option to hide their application from the regular space and revert it to a separate space with a secure folder where they can hide the application, but it could be tricky for the regular user, so Samsung may be thinking of bringing the App lock functionally to similar Android smartphones.
However, it is not clear whether the app lock feature will have a similar function as the other Android smartphone app lock features or whether it will function differently. According to some reports, Samsung is bringing this functionality to stay ahead of Apple’s iOS, which is all set to receive the next generation of its OS, iOS 18, with a similar feature of blocking and hiding applications.
