Google has announced a new feature for its Gmail application, which dedicatedly provides the facilities to send and receive emails. In the recent Google I/O 2024, the company introduced several new Gemini AI features that will provide more convenience while composing the emails.
Previously, Google introduced a feature called “Help me Write.” With this function, users can easily compose emails with smart suggestions given by AI, and in the upcoming updates, we will receive more AI-powered features in the next few days. Let’s explore the upcoming features one by one.
Summarize conversation: with the summarized conversation, the user will be able to quickly read the long email threads and answer with a strong understanding. As per the information, the workspace user will get this feature initially. Meanwhile, the Google One AIPremium and Gemini for workspace subscribers have to wait until June.
Gmail Q&A: If you aren’t satisfied or confused about any topic or want any other suggestions, then you can ask questions about the email thread and quickly understand without any confusion. This feature will be available for Workspace Labs mobile users in July.
Contextual smart replies: this feature will also provide convenience, as it will also be able to smartly reply and compose to the Gmail received by other users. It allows users to understand the context of the email and provides more contextualized and detailed suggestions than the current simple suggestions.
In more detail, this feature will show a series of boxes containing suggestions and allow you to preview the video before inserting it in the reply email. It will be available for the Workspace labs user from July.
Apart from new AI features the Help me Write function for Desktop will also support Spanish and Portuguese in the coming weeks and to make it more accessible worldwide, Google will provide more language support in future.
