Artificial intelligence is the new era for now, and the tech industry is running behind. Even the leading brands are actively working to lead the AI era; for instance, at the moment, Microsoft seeks a Samsung partnership to boost AI capability.
Somewhere how Samsung locates itself in a fortunate position as a leading provider of high-end memory solutions, which are crucial for AI chips. Recent reports are revealing that Kung Kye-Hyun, the head of Samsung’s semiconductor business, has been invited by Microsoft to the MS CEO Summit 2024.
The summit takes place on May 14 in Redmond, Washington, during which the founder of Microsoft, Bill Gates, and CEO Satya Nadella will hold closed-door meetings with Samsung’s semiconductor boss to find new roads of collaboration that promote AI partnerships.
The reports say that the brand is interested in exploring opportunities for joint development and supply of AI chipsets with Samsung. It is expected that the brand could also be interested in having some of its software AI services on Samsung’s electronic devices.
Somehow Google’s AI services are the backbone of Galaxy AI, and Microsoft hopes that its services will also get integrated into Samsung’s Galaxy AI package, which is available for 100 million devices and will only expand further in the forthcoming years.
Apart from the Korean giant, Microsoft has also invited the heads of SK Hynix, LG Electronics, and SK Telecom. The spectator comments that it’s hard for Microsoft to request the participation of the top brass of South Korea’s biggest tech firms, and it only goes to show how serious Microsoft is about forming alliances that help it excel in the AI field.
