Two new QD-OLED gaming monitors from Samsung have been introduced; the 31.5-inch and 27-inch models will go on sale in the coming year. A wide variety of QD-OLED monitors from different manufacturers will be on display at CES 2024, giving customers plenty of alternatives. To increase the variety of monitors, Samsung is hinting at two new QD-OLED designs. 31.5-inch and 27-inch Samsung QD-OLED gaming monitors have 360 Hz UHD and 1920×1162 resolution. Targeting the high-end gaming market, the 31.5-inch model has a flat-panel design with UHD resolution and a pixel density of 140 PPI. Samsung highlights AMD as a crucial collaborator, utilizing its RDNA 3 GPU architecture to propel high refresh rates and the next generation.
It seems equivalent to a 65-inch 8K TV in terms of pixel density and is the greatest pixel density UHD resolution OLED monitor available. With the use of a unique, ultra-precise inkjet printing technique, a careful inkjet nozzle, and display volume optimization, Samsung claims to have achieved high resolution for the quantum dot light-emitting layer. A 27-inch QHD QD-OLED with a 360 Hz refresh rate is another thing that Samsung’s developing. Since it will be the first OLED display with such a high refresh rate, this one stands apart from the rest. So far, OLED monitors have a maximum refresh rate of 240 Hz. Professional first-person shooter (FPS) players will find the panel to be a fantastic option because it can give a rapid response time of up to 0.03 ms in addition to a 360 Hz refresh rate.
After their debut at CES 2024, both QD-OLED gaming monitors are projected to be available for sale in retail settings early in the following year. They are currently in the mass production phase. Samsung hopes to quadruple its overdisplacement shipments in 2024 compared to the previous year by adding more products to its lineup. Expect these Samsung panels to appear there as well as from other manufacturers, as Alienware hinted at two new QD-OLED displays in October.
