Samsung Galaxy S22 owners get ready to grab Galaxy AI features, as the giants are hinting that Galaxy AI is coming to older devices soon and have already started moving forward to expand Galaxy AI availability.
One UI 6.1 Galaxy AI Is Coming to More Devices
Samsung initially launched Galaxy AI along with the One UI 6.1 update on the Galaxy S24 series and made it generously clear that, for the time being, the Galaxy AI experience is only meant for the Galaxy S24 series and 2023 high-end smartphones, but the words are turning now.
The Korean giant stated that it is reviewing older devices, for instance, the Galaxy S22 series, to check whether the device’s hardware is capable of handling the Galaxy AI novelties on One UI 6.1, but sadly, for now they have not seen anything close to a confirmation that they will see Galaxy AI coming to devices except the devices that have already been grabbed, including the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, and Galaxy Tab S9.
Fortunately, Samsung has not suppressedthe possibility that Galaxy AI could make it to additional existing devices. On the contrary, Samsung, or its US division, may just have dropped a hint that it will probably come to more devices shortly. Recently, Samsung also announced the addition of more languages for some Galaxy AI features.
In one phrase, it appears that indirectly, the brand is suggesting that the list of devices that support Galaxy AI will expand in the future. It’s not a misleading statement, and it can be understood as Samsung’s saying regarding forthcoming smartphones like the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6. They will arrive with all the current Galaxy AI features and a few new ones out of the box.
However, in a way, Samsung is playing unfairly as it offers Galaxy AI features to the Galaxy S23 FE and not the Galaxy S22 series despite having the same chipset. It will be interesting to see what Samsung ultimately decides.
