Samsung Electronics America debuted two new upgraded cards for smartphones and gaming consoles, which help increase transfer speeds compared to old versions.

The giants say that new cards offer transfer speeds up to 23% faster (160 MB/s) compared to predecessors, making it easier for users to store and transfer game files, images, and videos effortlessly as these cards add storage space to their devices.
Senior Director of Memory Product Marketing at Samsung, Jose Hernandez, stated that “With the mobile and handheld gaming market on the rise, we sought to make data transfers on those devices even faster with these updated EVO Select and EVO Plus lines.”
The latest EVO Select and EVO Plus microSD cards offer multiple upgrades, improvements, and changes for both smartphone and console users; for instance, faster transfer speeds of up to 160 MB/s for speedy transfer, storage, and sharing. It increased capacity, and the broad compatibility also got upgraded, which makes it a versatile storage option for multiple gadgets such as Android phones, tablets, laptops, and more.
It offers 4K video recording support. The brand has offered an A2 rating for these cards to run apps installed on the microSD card more smoothly on smartphones and tablets. For speedy video transfer, they have a V30 speed class, which permits quick transfer of large video files, and the six-proof protection ensures that the cards can endure water, extreme temperatures, X-rays, wear and tear, drops, and even magnetic fields.
This time, Samsung is offering a card variant with 1 TB of capacity. The PRO Plus microSD line is dedicated to photographers, videographers, and content creators with action cameras and drones. The brand will make these new 1TB EVO Select and 1TB PRO Plus microSD card options available by the end of this year, along with 10 years of limited warranty.
