Samsung’s exclusive Galaxy AI features are not exclusive anymore except ‘Instant Slow-Mo’, which they introduced initially on the Galaxy S24 series, since now they are coming to 2022 Galaxy flagship devices, after 2023’s flagship phones.
But yes! Instant Slow-mo is a feature that is not available for 2022 Galaxy flagship devices, including-
- Galaxy S22 series
- Galaxy Z Fold 4
- Galaxy Z Flip 4
- Galaxy Tab S8 series
- Galaxy S23 FE
Samsung officially confirmed the One UI 6.1 update with Galaxy AI for the Galaxy S22, Fold4, Flip4, and Tab S8 in May.
According to previous reports, the Galaxy S23 FE smartphone with One UI 6.1 will not receive the Instant Slow-mo feature due to potential impact concerns. The Korean giant has also explained that this Slow-Mo feature requires a powerful GPU and NPU, which is why bringing it to every Galaxy device is not possible. The Galaxy S23 FE is powered by the Exynos 2200 chipset, the same as the Galaxy S22, and the same fact applies to the Galaxy Tab S8 and Galaxy Fold 4 series, so it’s pretty clear these devices are not capable of handling this functionality smoothly and flawlessly.
Samsung Electronics announced the availability of One UI 6.1, bringing Galaxy AI to these Galaxy smartphones and tablets, along with the list of AI features, in which the Instant Slow-mo feature is unfortunately not mentioned.
Apart from this, the rest of the AI, including Live Translate, Chat Assist, Interpreter, Circle to Search with Google, Note Assist, and many more, is coming with the One UI 6.1 update to these devices mentioned here. It is expected that in early May 2024, the brand will start rolling out this update.
