Android 15 Beta 1 is already available to download; this indicates the new OS is consistently moving to reach the stable stage and is expected to bring a function that shows the health of the device’s internal memory.
Android 15 is the next major iteration among Android users, who are waiting for new upgrades, improvements, changes, features, and new experiences. Now reports are revealing that Google is preparing a new functionality that will show the health of the device’s internal memory.
Previously, the same news came into existence, but regarding battery health, Android 15 could bring the awaited battery health statistics functionality, as Google has been working for a while now to show details regarding the battery’s status, for instance, the date of manufacture, cycle count, health of the battery, and more, to help users understand when to replace it.
This is being speculated on by a few indications that showed up in the Android 14 QPR2 update last month. The same indications came into existence regarding device storage; both battery and memory indications should appear in the “Device Diagnostics” app, which should be capable of taking advantage of a new Android 15 API to derive the remaining storage memory life.
Google made Android 15 Beta 1 available to download, which introduces a new API that permits system applications to access details on device storage health, although this information was previously collected by Android but unfortunately not exposed to users.
