Google’s news feed, currently named Google Discover, is known for showing updates on user interests and has gone through multiple name changes; for instance, Google Now and Google Feed. Now again, Google has decided to change its name.
Now the Google app is renaming the “Discover” tab to “Home” and also adding a new tab called “Browse.”. This new tab, Browse, will host a bundle of pre-defined search terms. Although Google Discover’s name would not seem to be the only change, a new tab, Browse, is added to the new “Home.”.
However, it has yet to clear up the key reason behind this change. However, it appears that it could be useful in generating search suggestions based on what Google deems relevant to the user, but this is not yet confirmed. It is convenient to discover new changes and new features in any app that lead to an enhanced and upgraded experience, and undoubtedly Google took it seriously.
It is being speculated by a post on X shared by a well-reliable tipster, @AssembleDebug, that the Google app is renaming the “Discover” tab to “Home” and adding a new tab called “Browse,” which will also bring a bundle of pre-defined search terms.
However, the tipster has not mentioned the exact date to roll out this change. Noticeably, all these name changes may be a little confusing at first, but users will adjust accordingly.
